Ildar Lykmanov — Architect & Lead Engineer

Ildar Lykmanov is a machine learning engineer and payment systems architect. He designed the HostraCore settlement engine — a double-entry ledger with exactly-once semantics, multi-rail settlement orchestration, and the card_to_crypto saga pattern.

Biography

Ildar Lykmanov (Ильдар Лукманов) is a machine learning engineer and payment systems architect. He designed and implemented the HostraCore settlement engine — a double-entry ledger with exactly-once semantics, multi-rail settlement orchestration (Visa Direct OCT, Stripe, on-chain custodian), and the card_to_crypto saga pattern. His work spans distributed systems, financial cryptography, ISO 8583 / ISO 20022 protocol layers, and applied machine learning for fraud and risk modelling.

Expertise

  • Machine learning — fraud and risk modelling for payment authorisation flows.
  • Distributed systems — leases, fencing tokens, transactional outbox, idempotent retries.
  • Payment architecture — settlement intents, multi-rail orchestration, compensation sagas.
  • Cryptography — HMAC-SHA256 webhook signatures, argon2id credential hashing, audit hash-chains.
  • Protocols — ISO 8583 message layer and ISO 20022 message mapping.

Projects

HostraCore — payment settlement engine. Double-entry ledger as source of truth, durable settlement intents with exactly-once terminal commit, the card_to_crypto saga (Stripe card charge on leg 1, on-chain USDT/USDC disbursement on leg 2, compensation on failure), a tamper-evident audit hash-chain with a public verification endpoint, M2M API keys with RBAC across 12 scopes, outbound webhooks signed with HMAC-SHA256, and Expo push notifications for the iOS and Android app.
